Courtmacsherry

Kinsale
County Cork
Ireland

Courtmacsherry is a well known sea angling centre and trips can be booked on an daily basis from Mark Gannon at 023 464276.  The boats are state of the art and will have you wreck fishing over the sunken Lusitania off the old head of Kinsale in 30 minutes or fishing for sharks if you prefer.  Mackerel fishing can be enjoyed off the rocks in summer, and stocked lakes, plus famous sea trout and salmon rivers, with day licenses are only a few miles away.

 Amenities

Just five minutes walk away you will find a beach, pier, post office, two village shops and a large, well stocked supermarket at Barryroe as well as a Catholic Church and a Church of Ireland with summer services.  There is a pottery and an exceptional craft shop in the village together with three lively pubes full of character, with music in at least one of them on most summer nights.  Courtmacsherry boasts the oldest lifeboat station in Ireland since 1824, and the boat is an interesting feature in the inner harbour.
